Practicing Digital Painting with Arcane

Isha from season 2. Duration of making: 12h 55m

Being an artist myself, a big fan of steampunk and art deco style, and always open to great stories, I obviously became a huge fan of the  Arcane show. The way how it's done with all the details is highly remarkable. I became inspired and wanted to develop my digital painting skills so I picked some of my favorite scenes from the show and did my best to paint them accordingly. This was less about my creativity rather more about following the artistic world of Arcane. Some of them are rendered fully, others a bit sketchy like a concept art. I've provided the speed-up progress video for each, you may find them on my Artstation.

Powder / Jinx from season 1. Duration of making: 9h 10m

Powder or Jinx became one of my favorite characters but it developed slowly. For a while I was rather watching her from a distance. In hte meantime I really loved her appearance and talent for making those gatgets what she created. I even liked her being silly in the shadow of this madness around her.

Probably the most catching thing for a lot of fans is her relationship with Silco. I agree with many others about Silco becoming such a great step-father when he also seemed to be an evil villain in the whole story... at least for a while. The complexity of these characters is truly amazing, and I say a big thanks for it, considering that the spectacle of this show could have been already enough (yeah well, not to me, and not to the creators after all ^^)

Originally I've planned to paint lots of portraits about Vi, because she is actually my big favorite character and I think she has the most beautiful face in the whole show. So I started with her and maybe later, I will do more. I just can't stop being amused by the variety of these characters.

Vi from Season 2. Duration of making: 7h 33m

I might add new images later, when I've created them and I plan to do "real fan art" by making my own concept. This journey definitely developed my painting skills and gave me peaceful hours and relax what making art means to me in the first place.

Thank you for reading! ^^
